Job Title: Finance Analyst\n\nLocation: Oxford\n\nSalary: £40,000 to £45,000\n\nWorking pattern: Hybrid (3 days in office per week)\n\nYour new company \nA long-standing and highly reputable Oxfordshire publishing company is looking for a Finance Analyst with experience in business intelligence, financial reporting and data analysis. The role will involve working with tools such as Excel and Power BI to support reporting, develop dashboards, improve data accessibility and contribute to process improvements, whilst working closely with finance, operations and senior leadership teams. \n\nYour new role \n\nProducing regular financial and operational reports using Excel and Power BI\nDeveloping and maintaining interactive dashboards and reporting tools\nAnalysing financial data to identify trends, risks, and growth opportunities\nSupporting budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes\nAutomating reporting and improving data workflows and efficiency\nMaintaining accurate datasets across financial and operational systems\nProviding insight-led analysis to support senior leadership decisions\nSupporting continuous improvement of reporting processes and data quality\nDelivering ad-hoc analysis to drive commercial and operational outcomes\nWhat you'll need to succeed \n\nExperience in finance, accounting, or a related analytical role\nStrong background in financial analysis, reporting, or data analytics\nAdvanced Excel skills (including formulas and financial modelling)\nExperience building Power BI dashboards (or similar BI tools)\nExcellent analytical and problem-solving abilities\nAbility to interpret complex datasets and present clear, actionable insights\nStrong organisational skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail\nConfident communicating with both technical and non-technical stakeholders\nWhat you'll get in return \nThis role offers the opportunity to work in a creative, high-impact publishing environment, with exposure to senior stakeholders and involvement in strategic decision-making.
